The state of California allows businesses who subcontract a certified SB/MB firm to receive a 5% bidding preference on applicable state solicitations. When applying businesses using a certified SB/MB for 25% of net bid price is eligible for a bid preference of five percent (5%) of the lowest responsible bid when competing.
